I thought you and your readers might be interested to see this piece in our local paper here in Western Australia.

My friend has been to Monmouth, so was very interested to see some information on what is going on in your lovely little town.

I myself have enjoyed many visits over the years to my sister, who is still living in the town.

She married one of the sons of Monmouth, David Alexander (who before passing was well known in the town for his friendly, helpful nature). He was one of nature's gentlemen.

I am sure many of your readers will recall David, as he had a window cleaning round as a sideline job for many years.

What a lovely little town you have, filled with history and some long gone characters that I will remember forever. The people in Monmouth are the friendlist people in Wales.

I hope this brings the tourists and the dollars into beautiful Monmouth. Good luck with that.
