Thousands lined the streets on Sunday (27th July) to watch the colour, spectacle and music that has come to epitomise the town's annual parade. Floats, large and small, led the walking entries. Winding their way past the stalls, the procession of walking entries was led by the town's South Wales Fire and Rescue tenders who led the parade to the festival site for the results of the judging which was done by Monmouth AM Nick Ramsay. Enjoying the heat wave that has settled over the county, the carnival committee were rightly proud of the entries that has kept the carnival a date to remember in Monmouth's calendar.
