THE future looks promising for a Monmouth cider maker which has just won a prestigious Great Taste Golden Fork for Wales and been invited to be part of the Welsh Government Fine Food Wales Cluster.
Stephanie Culpin of Apple County Cider was delighted to win the award after a promising year that has seen the company recognised as one of the finest producers in the country.
“Our ambition to make outstanding products has been recognised with this national award and we will benefit hugely from the mentoring and nurturing the Fine Food Cluster will give us.
“We have seen the explosion of the craft beer market and now it’s time for cider. The Guild of Fine Food has recognised Apple County Cider as producing the finest cider in Wales and the UK.”
Apple County Cider is a family run business based in Monmouthshire, specialising in single variety ciders and perry. 2015 has seen the business win a record number of awards including the Great British Food Farm Produce Awards and the Off Licence News International Cider Challenge.
