Monmouth Cricket Club's 1st XI finished their 2009 campaign with a defeat at champions Droitwich Spa this past weekend
Monmouth, who are sponsored by J.D.Wetherspoons and Misbah Tandoori Restaurant, chose to bat, with opener Paul Swingwood (72) compiling a tidy half century. Swingwood put on 50 with Jon Jones (34) but Monmouth capitulated to 151 all out.
Veteran spinner Martin Woodward (4-37) was the pick of a well disciplined attack.
