Monmouth Carnival competition has made a return, with schools from Monmouthshire participating in artwork for prizes.

The event is hosted by Monmouth Town Council, and had over 350 entries last year. This year’s theme is Heroes and Villains.

The competition is an opportunity for children to get creative in the May half term and take part in one of Monmouth's community competitions.

The competition is open to all year groups, for 1st place a prize of £20 voucher, in 2nd place a £15 voucher and in 3rd place a £10 voucher.

To enter the competition, you can go to Bridges reception from June 11 to 13 with name, school year and school on the back.

The winners will be on display at Monmouth Carnival on June 29.
