Monmouth Assembly Member Nick Ramsay was pleased to be able to spend a few hours helping out at Monmouth's Oxfam shop.

The shop was very busy and it was good to see the charity being so well supported.

Mr Ramsay, pictured with manager Carol Jones, said: "Volunteering is a very rewarding experience that I'd recommend to anyone with a few hours to spare each week.

"I was interested to hear about the recently launched Nectar card reward scheme.

"This clever idea awards people who donate items to Oxfam shops by giving them points on their nectar cards. It's an excellent idea which should encourage more donations.

"Carol and her team are doing a great job in Monmouth, and I was very pleased to be able to spare a few hours in the shop meeting customers and doing a little to help out. Keep up the good work."
