The long-awaited resurfacing of part of Mitchel Troy Common is now confirmed for Monday 18th – Tuesday 19th August. The work will take place between 7.30am and 3.30pm.
A 400 metre stretch of road will be resurfaced between the crossroads and the sharp left-hand bend at the top of the hill past The Fencing Post and Upper House.
Cllr Jane McKenna said that they have requested that “the remainder of the road also be resurfaced between The Elms and Brookhill House, but this stretch has not been budgeted for in the current financial year.”
Reasonable access will be maintained for properties fronting the affected lengths of road during the period of the closure.
