MCS students continued to excel, posting superb GCSE and BTEC grades this week which comfortably surpass national outcomes once again.
Over 30 per cent of all GCSE grades awarded are A* to A, significantly above national figures, and over 80 per cent of all results are at C or above.
26 per cent of students achieved five or more GCSE A* to A grades, with 10 per cent of students achieving 10 or more A* to A grades. Three students achieved a remarkable 13 A* to A grades, and 81 per cent of students achieved five or more A* to C grades.
This year’s Year 11 cohort has shown superb dedication throughout their educational journey, working with tireless commitment to fulfil their potential and achieve excellent examination results.
Deputy Headteacher Mr Hampshire praised the commitment of the students:
“We are very proud of everything this Year 11 group has achieved across such a broad range of academic and vocational qualifications. They have shown incredible focus and determination throughout their time with us.
“It is wonderful to see so many returning in September to join our Sixth Form for A level and BTEC studies, and we also wish every student embarking on new pathways the very best for their future.”
Headteacher Mr Hutchison celebrated the collective effort behind the results:
“Our students have performed exceptionally well once again. Behind these impressive grades are individuals who have demonstrated an outstanding work ethic, ambition and perseverance.
“Our staff have been relentless in supporting every student’s progress, and I am deeply grateful to our parents and carers, whose guidance and support have been vital to this success.”
