SIR,
Reading the Beacon's article last week on the replacement Animal Market fiasco at Raglan, I find it incredible that the same officials that gifted the Meend Farm to Kate Humble now have to ask the Welsh Assembly to rescue them from another shambles of their own making.
They appear to act without due diligence, unaccountable to the electorate of Monmouthshire.
Other elected representatives appear to have caught the same condition, with David Davies MP and Nick Ramsay AM, failing to respond when asked to look into matters.
I presume they wish to stay undercover until the fuss dies down, not wanting to rock the party boat.
Bearing in mind what is happening within this council's administration; what has been happening in England and the Prime Minister's recent statements on the issues of 'our broken society', the need to beat gang culture is essential, we are told.
It seems a small group of individuals are allowed by the majority of our elected members to gift or blow our properties and finances.
If you look at other recent decisions taken by MCC's cabinet, how many have been against the majority of local people's wishes and often against their own policies?
