A Monmouth man has been given an MBE in the Queen's birthday honours list.

Tom Moran has been honoured for voluntary services to older people in Wales.

"I was nominated by my children – Andrew, Anna, Tessa and Fiona – they all got together and decided they should do something about what I have been doing for the last few years," said the 87-year-old.
