SIR,
The great honour and privilege of being your mayor has been bestowed upon me.
May I thank all those good people who have sent cards, and have stopped both my wife and myself to congratulate us.
Furthermore, I give my thanks to my fellow councillors for their support and their unanimous vote in my favour.
Please be assured that this new task will receive all the attention it deserves, and with your co-operation we can move forward together, as one.
I have decided on the three Mayors Charities which will be: The Royal British Legion, Monmouth Community Under 5s and the St David's Hospice.
Please help me by giving these charities your support in the events that I have planned for the next year.
