THE traditional Christmas Day visits by Monmouth's mayoral party began at Gibraltar House this year.

Mayor of Monmouth, Councillor Chris Munslow and his wife Dorothy, the mace bearers John Blake and Caroline Bright chatted to residents before moving on to Abbeyfield House.

Parade House was the next stop where they met Dr George Griffiths, a former councillor and Alderman with Monmouth Borough Council and a doctor with Chippenham Surgery.

This was followed by a visit to Monnow Vale and the residents of Drybridge Gardens also received a cheery Christmas message from the mayor and his party.

The final destination was Wyesham Baptist Church where the mayoral party wished everyone a happy Christmas
