SIR,

I would like to say a big thank you to all who attended on Sunday 15th September.

I was truly overwhelmed that so many people had braved the appalling weather to come and support me as the Mayor of Chepstow.

To be elected as mayor of this wonderful town is a great honour and a role which I will always respect and cherish.

It is my intention to: Be visible and attend and support as many of the cultural activities as possible.

Support commercial activities and events to sustain the town centre.

Encourage new established innovative businesses in Chepstow which will hopefully provide some new high quality jobs for our residents.

In summary, being the Mayor for Chepstow and advocating Chepstow's strengths and opportunities at all times.

I would like to acknowledge the role played by my fellow town councillors, working with all who strive to make Chepstow the super place that it is to live in.

A special thanks to our clerk Sandra and her team Lucy and Abbie, who provide a first class service for the town councillors and the residents of Chepstow.
