May I, through your letters page, thank everyone who has given me generous acknowledgement and encouragemnet since carrying the Olympic Torch on 25th May.

Since then I have been busy sharing the torch with a myriad of people and organisations, all of whom have wanted to grab hold of a little piece of history while also continuing to support my fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support.

My torch and I will be more than happy to appear at any fete, school, club or society and in particular will be happy to visit any of the outlying villages where people did not have the opportunity to see the torch pass through.

If you, your organisation, school or village missed out and you want a visit, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
