Police arrested a man in Monnow Street on Wednesday March 15 after a report of suspicious behaviour in Monmouth. 

A man allegedly attempted to take a toddler from a pushchair in Coffee #1 and the mother reported the incident to Police.

Officers attended and arrested an 18-year-old-man at 9.25am under suspicion of behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress.

He has since been detained under section 2 of the Mental Health Act.
