SIR,
Monnow Street could easily be enhanced visually if owners/landlords of the shops would paint them brighter colours.
At the moment, with a few exceptions, all the shops are painted white or beige. This gives a very dull visual landscape.
If Monmouth became more colourful, we could become known as "the Tobermory" of Wales.
I am sure visitors to the town would find it much more attractive if there was a more colouful streetscape in Monnow Street.
