Love is in the air
Gibraltar House Nursing Home really got into the spirit of Valentine's Day this year by arranging for a number of elderly couples to get together at the home and then surprising them with flowers! Pictured is Cecil Beach (87) a resident, with his wife Kathleen. Andrea Booth, administrator at the home said "Cecil is such a wonderful character, Kathleen visits him daily and the devotion between them is clear." She continued to say that they were "typical of couples really looking forward to the completion of the state of the art Care Village development which will enable a partner to live in their own house on site and therefore make visits to the nursing home to see their spouse much easier." Stéphane Beaumont, Nurse Manager of Gibraltar House commented "We care for some of the most vulnerable adults in our community, the care team here constantly express their love and dedication to all those that live at Gibraltar House and with all this love around us on a daily basis it was a good idea to recognise Valentine in this way."
