Sir,
On Sunday 27th April, we are doing a sponsored Litter Pick for Life in aid of the Kidney Wales Foundation.
As a family, we are hugely grateful to have known the 'before and after' of a kidney transplant for my very sick husband.
The Foundation works extremely hard to support those affected by kidney disease, in a great range of ways.
Meanwhile, on the same day, thousands of people across Wales will be doing a sponsored 'Walk for Life'. (Trust Monmouth to be different!)
We will be wearing the same blue T shirts and have the same urgent desire to support such an invaluable cause.
We'll meet in the Co-op car park at 2pm and aim to clear Monmouth's beautiful riverbanks first, but if you fancy focusing on somewhere else, feel free!
Twenty seven bags of rubbish, is our record and, following this winter's floods, you could help us beat that.
Proper gloves, bags and a litterpicker are supplied, as well as the T-shirt.
You can sponsor us to clear up your favourite area or come and join the Litter Pick; even start your own sponsor form.
Looking forward to hearing from you. All encouragement is appreciated.
