This week a group of Monmouth Comprehensive School prefects led by Rowan Wilde and Charlotte Painter, handed out Love Monmouth Hate Litter’s (LMHL) sticker logo to food outlets and shops in the centre of town to raise awareness of the issue of litter. The Mayor of Monmouth, Councillor Terry Christopher gave the students a letter to hand out alongside the sticker, urging businesses to lend their support to the joint venture and put the logo in their window.

The idea was suggested by the school and discussed with the Monmouth Town Council Litter Working Group.

Jim Handley of the Monmouth Litter Group said that they hope that every shop owner and manager will display this logo in their window as "an important sign of support for the efforts of our local school to highlight our litter problem. We all need to pull together to tackle this."
