SIR, Passing a plan for a building which would have been too small would have made no sense whatsoever.  Monmouth Town Council used common sense, and empathy, when they rejected the plans for the new school in Monmouth on the grounds that it would be too small. Rachel Ryder is lucky to have both her children attending Monmouth school at the same time. How would she have felt, I wonder, if one of her children had been rejected on the grounds of no more spaces? Those of us without children would like to see all future families in Monmouth being able to send all of their offspring to their local school. Some of us can predict the problems that too small a school will bring to Monmouth families in the future. Helen Levy (Monmouth)
