Fundraising for the town’s skatepark took a tasty turn when a slap-up meal was laid on, Italian style, last Thursday 19th October.
PCSO ‘Joe’ Facchiano went back to his Italian roots and with the help of his wife Gina, sourced all the food, then prepared and cooked an authentic Italian three course meal for over 50 guests at the Shire Hall for the Monmouth Off Street Project.
Waiting on the tables were youngsters who use the skatepark and are keen to get involved with any fundraising effort that helps to maintain and improve the skatepark and BMX track.
The organisers thanked Josh Haddock for his presentation about the project, also Elliott, Esther, Maxine and PCSO Alan Wakeling who helped on the evening, plus Aileen, Claire and Christina from the Shire Hall who were incredibly helpful to them all day.
They also thanked everyone who supported the event, including Sam at Stephens Bookshop for selling the tickets, Lottie from The Bloom Room for such beautiful table decorations, and the many local businesses and individuals who donated draw prizes.
