SIR,

At County Hall on Friday 1st July, I witnessed the fate of Monmouth being planned.

Our fate was in the hands of the majority of county councillors who do not represent Monmouth.

It is my opinion that our county councillors are against the Local Destruction Plan in its present form and they, where possible, voted against it.

It is also my opinion that the majority of the people of Monmouth oppose it in its present form.

So, I ask you, is this true democracy or are we re-entering the Frost era?

In the interests of self preservation I should sign off as 'name and address supplied' but that kind of cowardice is not in my nature.

Monmouth, Monmouth, Monmouth.

Gerry Bright
