How long will the Union flag fly?

SIR,

I am wondering just how long the Union flag is to remain flying over Monmouth above our Shire Hall.

Now that the Birmingham contractors have left – a super gang who made many friends here – it must be time for it to go.

Unlike Scotland and Ireland, Wales is not represented on the Union flag, so surely the Red Dragon should be flown.

It would be a great pity if the exciting renovation of the Shire Hall should be marred by what might be seen as a slight upon our nation.
