HOME-START Monmouthshire has celebrated its five year anniversary by teaming up with the Gwent Wildlife Trust to plant a coppice of 100 trees at Wyeswood Common.
On Tuesday 13th December Julia Gregson, the charity’s newly welcomed ambassador, officially opened the newly planted coppice.
She helped trustees, volunteers, and one of the Home-Start families plant the last five trees to mark the five year anniversary.
The independent family support charity is hoping that in the future families will then be able to visit the site to watch the trees develop and to arrange education days jointly with the Gwent Wildlife Trust.
