When Tamsin and David Rowlands were young children, their parents, Gerald and Valerie Rowlands, promised them that one day they would take them to Disneyworld Florida.
Twenty years later, the family has expanded as Tamsin had married a local farmer, Glyn Bennett, and they have two children, Oliver aged seven, and Elissa, aged five, and David had left home to join the Police Force in Gloucestershire.
Valerie retired a year ago and then decided to realise the original dream by booking and taking the entire family as her retirement treat!
This dream had apparently been shattered when they discovered their holiday firm, Travel City Direct, had collapsed.
"We were to leave on October 6th, so suitcases are already out and the children have already started packing in their excitement" said Valerie.
Elissa was supposed to have started school in Raglan last week but spent four days in hospital and was constantly being told that she had to get better to go to Disneyworld.
The dream, it seemed, had ended when the family receied a message from the Civil Aviation Authority saying they had lost the holiday with Travel City.
