Graham Waite with Gill Cotton on the notes took a comfortable Category one Historic victory on last weekend's Pirelli Historic Cup Rally.
Round three of the Dunlop/Wanago MSA Historic Championship moved North to Carlisle and 53 miles in the notorious Keilder Forest lay in wait for crews.
Waite was immediately into his stride on the narrow roads of Keilder with second fastest on the opening Falstone test.
He then shot through the 13-miler in Bower to take the category lead. He then lost third gear in stage three Blackaburn, but still maintained his lead heading into service.
