I have been sadly aware for a while that our lovely town has a few residents who are unfortunately liable to lapse into self-entitled bullying when their comfortable lives are disturbed.
I was particularly distressed this week to hear of abuse towards the people working to ensure that our power and water supplies could be restored. To have such supplies is to live in extreme luxury by most of the world’s standards, and we depend on highly skilled men and women to provide them.
I hope they know that most of us appreciate this and are appropriately grateful.
