Hannah Tolley, aged 18, won The Midland Riding Club Championship 2008 held at Rodbaston Agricultural Showground near to Stafford last weekend on her horse 'There's Something about Mary'. She qualified for the show at Marden and District Riding Club.
Earlier in the season Hannah won a bronze at the Championships of Great Britain held at Cricklands owned by David Broom.
Hannah has only had Mary since May this year. When she saw the horse for the first time there was an instant bond, and when Hannah rode Mary she was at ease straight away.
"Mary is a twelve year old chestnut cob/arab cross and has the most wonderful temperament," said her mother, Peggy Tolley, who has also ridden Mary.
'Duke of Haley' was Hannah's first horse on which she won various shows. He is now 23 years old and semi retired but still keen to be ridden. Peggy added: "Now Mary and Hannah make a great pair and I hope they have lots more fun together."
