Gwent Police is appealing for information to help locate 24-year-old Stephen Peter Lima, who failed to return to HMP Prescoed yesterday (Thursday 21st August) having been on day release. Lima was convicted of supplying class A drugs at Cardiff Crown Court in March 2011 and sentenced to nine years in prison. He is not a registered sex offender. He is described as being of mixed race, 5 feet 10 inches tall, of medium build and with black hair and brown eyes. Gwent Police has activated its operational plan with the aim of locating him and is working with colleagues from other police force areas. It is believed there may be a potential risk to the public due to the fact that Lima is no longer in the custody of the prison service.
