Forest girls Jess Boon and Megan Jephcote started off the rowing season with a win last Sunday (20th March) at the Gloucester Head of River race.
The girls entered the womens J13 double and won by five seconds over the 2,500 metre course, holding off a strong challenge from two Uppper Thames Rowing Club teams from Henley.
After the race, the girs were lucky enough to have their picture taken with Team GB olympic rowing champion Beth Rodford.
