Goodrich Cricket Club finished the 2007 season in style with the annual dinner held at the Castle Lodge Hotel, Wilton. In front of a large group of cricketers, family and supporters the president, Mr Eric Winchester outlined his view of an impressive but rain-affected season. Mr Winchester spoke about the 1st XI being runners-up in the Marches League cup and 3rd in the Marches League Division 1, the 2nd XI coming mid table in Division 2, and the Sunday team 2nd in the Catley Staite Sunday League Division 1. Award winners were: 1st XI batsman Roger Lord. 1st XI bowler Andy Russell. 2nd XI batsman Robbie Heath. 2nd XI bowler Richard Hope. The young cricketer of the year was Jo Griffiths, fielder of the year, Steve Evans. The President's clubman of the year award went to Rufus Davies.
