SIR,

I am writing as chairman of the Friends of Vauxhall Fields to record our thanks to the Army and Major W Duncan in particular for the efforts they have put in over the past few months resulting in the resurfacing of the lane either side of the Inglis Bridge.

This lane was in very poor condition as all users recognised. Many have commented to me how pleased they were to see this lane finally restored into a good condition.
