CHEPSTOW and District Round Table group is making sporting dreams come true for young girls in town.

The charitable organisation of local volunteers has answered a request for help from girl guides, brownies and rainbows in town to buy some sports equipment.

The groups asked for support to purchase a Tri-Golf Starter kit and also a ‘Tag in a bag’ tag rugby equipment. This struck a chord with the members of Chepstow Round Table and they voted to pay for the equipment in full and deliver it to them.

Chairman of Chepstow’s Round Table, Kevin Jordan, said: “We strongly believe in keeping kids in the community active which in todays electronic world is not an easy thing to do.

“We have now purchased the equipment and will be bringing it along to the Rainbows, Guides and Brownies’ meetings.

“The meetings will be held on Monday 5th June”.

Chepstow’s Mayor, Councillor Dale Rooke, will attend the presentation, and the group will even be setting up their newly acquired Round Table Disco Bouncy Castle for the girls to use for the evening.
