Residents at Gibraltar Nursing Home have enjoyed week long activities on a 1940s theme with quizzes, a personal memories display board and seeing lots of memorabilia from the era.

To end the enjoyable week, on Friday (21st February) staff dressed in period clothing and everyone enjoyed joining in with the 1940s act Mandy-Ann, a talented vocalist and performer with a string of TV and cabaret appearances to her name.

Activity Manager Sharon White said: "reminiscence therapy is included in our daily programmes as it can help improve mood and wellbeing."

Residents and staff would like to say thank you to Caroline and Peter Pearce of the Off Centre Theatre, Monmouth for the loan of the 1940s costumes.
