Sporting pupils at Haberdashers' Monmouth School for Girls have been presented with a generous cheque for £650 from the President of the Fencing Contractors Association, Mrs Wendy Baker. The girls were awarded the money after they volunteered to act as caddies at last year's FCA Charity Golf Day at the St. Pierre Hotel, which helped to raise over £14,000. The money donated to them will go towards a lacrosse trip to the USA at the end of March. On the tour 18 girls will be competing in 5 matches against other international schools.
