Members and friends of St. Thomas' Church abseiled down St. Mary's Church tower on Saturday (11th May) to raise money in aid of the renovation and extension of their church and community hall.

Churchwarden Elizabeth Jane Stone said; "we hope that the amount raised will be in the range of £5,000 to £5,500 . A wonderful effort by all who took part."
