SIR, May we say it was a lovely article in the Beacon regarding Sarah Rochira, older persons commissioner for Wales, who visited the Friends of Dingestow at the fish and chip lunch. We just need to clarify that: Friends  of Dingestow is an independent group that was set up in December 2012, by people who volunteer their time freely, who want to make a difference to their community, with socials held monthly, reconnecting and involving all ages from six months to 96 years young at Dingestow Village Hall. There have been many speakers, lunches, music, demontrations, outings, people have shown such tremendous support and kindness. Maggie a local lady oversees homemade delicious cakes and refreshments, it's a  lovely relaxed atmosphere where you can sit and chat with old and new friends. Our next social will be on Tuesday 13th May, at 2pm with buttermaking, with refreshments to follow, a warm welcome awaits. For more information contact Myra at Dingestow Village Stores.
