Regular services have resumed at St Michael’s and the church is now open daily during the day.

Harvest festival will be on Sunday, October 3 at 11am, followed by a celebration barbecue. All are welcome but organisers say it would be helpful if people could ring ahead, especially regarding dietary needs, by phoning Liz Williams on 01600 711518.

The Tree Tots playgroup have been making use of the play area behind the church along with the new facilities. A baptism will also be making use of the new font next month. A service following on from Monmouth’s climate festival will be taking place on November 7 at 11am, coinciding with COP26 in Glasgow. Liz Williams has been doing a virtual walk of the distance from Mitchel Troy to Glasgow to highlight the urgency of the climate crisis. She started on April 1 and virtually reached her destination on August 28.

St Michael’s annual pet service will be held on November 21 at 3pm. Parishioners may bring a photo of a pet that’s not longer with them, which can be placed on the alter for a blessing. Bishop Cherry Vann will be visiting the church on December 5 at 11am to lead worship and bless the redevelopment. The candlelit carol service will take place on December 17 at 6.30pm.
