Chepstow and District Garden Club held their annual gardening show recently, with the Town Mayor Stephanie Dovey on hand to open the show and assist the Chairman of the Town Amenities Committee, Cllr Mrs Yvonne Havard, award the prizes.

Cllr Stephanie Dovey commended Cllr Mrs Havard for her excellent leadership of the Town Amenities Committee, who worked extremely hard in delivering key services on behalf of the Town Council including the Town's Christmas lights and Summer floral displays.

The Town Amenities Committee were responsible for this years 1st prize and Silver Gilt entry into the Wales in Bloom Competition.

They were also responsible for arranging and judging the Chepstow in Bloom Garden Competition, the winners of which were Mr Bradley for Best Front Garden, Mr and Mrs Whittaker for Best Back Garden, Mrs Duchet for Best Allotment and a Special Award to the Berley Centre.
