In response to a letter printed in last week's edition, I use Ace Taxis regularly and have never encountered an employee who is rude, impolite or even stand-offish.

All the drivers are helpful, chatty and courteous. If the lady who wrote the letter was on her own and it was so bitterly cold, shouldn't she have arranged transport home beforehand?

I understand she may have thought five minutes out of his way was not much, but when it makes passengers (who had booked in advance) have to wait in the bitter cold, and maybe delay his whole timetable and colleagues, he was well within his rights to refuse.

I will still be using Ace Taxis, as I have for as long as the company has been running.
