SIR,

I am writing in response to Dr Simon Blaise's letter in last week's Beacon (2nd June).

You mentioned in your letter Princess Alexandria's RAF Hospital, Wroughton, which closed in 1995.

Did you fight to keep this hospital open, or did you criticise like you are doing now?

I have been fighting for the rights of the people for years and will keep fighting, whatever critcism I may get from people like yourself.

I would like to ask you Dr Blease, have you ever been in the army?

The reason why we said Cwrt-y-Gollen camp was the size of it. This camp has acres of ground and is situated in a very quiet part of the countryside, but if anyone has any other places or ex-military camps for this hospital to be built, please let me know.

We will continue to fight for our brave soldiers, who should have top priorities, whatever their needs.

Again, anyone who wishes to criticise has the right to do so, but before they do, get off their backsides and fight for the rights of our soldiers past and present.

Gary Whitcombe
