CASTELL Roc has revealed the full line-up of it's new show – The Big-C Charity Bash.
Being held at Chepstow Castle on Thursday 20th August, the free to enter event kicks off the Castell Roc festival and aims to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
The event is un-ticketed and limited to 1,500 visitors, so those who want to get in will have to arrive early to avoid disappointment.
Those that do get in will see the likes of Bad Reputation who, despite their name, have anything but having won a battle of the bands competition recently.
The Singing Club will be on stage too which is made up of four community choirs from Monmouthshire and the Forest of Dean.
They will be followed by Kathleen Jenkins, who's voice is more than a match for the powerful songs she tackles, and The Don Fox Scandal, a funk rock outfit what is sure to get people's feet tapping.
In a break from the norm, the evening then takes a funny twist with a stand-up set from James Redmond.
The TV star, well known from his roles in Casualty and Hollyoaks, has fitted the charity event into his stand-up tour and will perform his dry comedy to the Chepstow crowd.
Ending the night will be Big Mac's Wholly Soul Band. The renowned soul and Motown ten piece are guaranteed to close The Big-C Charity Bash with a bang, with Big Mac leading his brass section, backing singers and rhythm section in creating some fun-filled music.
There will be a hog roast and cider theme to the event too with 10 different ciders on offer. The evening starts at 7pm and under-16s will need to be accompanied by an adult.
Organisers say: "It's lovely to be doing something like this 'for the town' and also be supportive of the work done by Marie Curie Cancer Care.
"We simply sat down one day and thought 'with all this doom and gloom about at the moment, shall we throw the town a party?' and wallop, here it is – a bit of fun for everyone on a summer's evening."
