The candlelit procession through Monmouth on Thursday 12th December was led by musicians from Monmouth Comprehensive School who were Finty Jones, Josie Jones, Jess Netherway, Sam Ford, Natasha Chandra, Annika Prince, James Arnett, Ted Rawlins Katie Mapp and Kalil Rogers.

The Mayor Jeana Hall and the Macebearers led the walk up Monnow Street to Agincourt Square, where carols were sung by Kymin View School and the Monmouth Male Voice Choir, with music supplied by the Town Band.

The Rev Nick Munday led the assembled crowds in prayer and even the cast of Aladdin made an appearance.

Finally, Father Christmas managed to take time from his busy schedule and, helped by Monmouth Rotary, handed out sweets to the children.
