SIR,

My wife and I have just returned from a visit to our old haunts in what was an attractive area on the outskirts of north London.

On Friday afternoon, whilst I went to view my particular interest, my wife had a cup of coffee waiting for me at a reasonably empty McDonald's.

When I returned at 4pm I could hardly find my wife for the mêlée of school children. There was no school we could see within at least 250 yards.

The idea that a fast food outlet sited at the Dixton roundabout would not impact on the health of our school children is baloney.
