SIR, On 8th December, a commemoration service will be held in London to remember all those who fought in First World War Naval Battles of Coronel and the Falkland Islands.The service, which will commemorate exactly the 100th anniversary of the Battle of the Falklands, is organised by the Falkland Islands Association and will take place at 10.30am at St Martin-in-the-Fields (The Royal Naval Church) off Trafalgar Square, Central London. Representatives of the Royal Navy, German Navy, members of the Falkand Islands Association and various Service and Ships Associations will participate. The purpose of this letter is to seek your assistance in drawing the attention of your readership to the commemorative event and, in doing so, encourage any relatives of those involved and anyone with an interest or memorabilia related to the battles, to make contact with the Falkland Islands Association as soon as possible.
