The biggest professional boxing and kickboxing event to hit Abergavenny in decades will see Welsh Warrioirs IV ‘release the fury’.
On Sunday 25th May 2025, in Abergavenny Market Hall, Monmouthshire Sporting Club is hosting an event like no other. Fin Mitchell headlines for a World Title Eliminator in the Light Heavyweight Division under K1 Rules. If successful he will challenge for a World Title against the World Champion from the USA in October in the Market Hall in a truly historic event.
Fin a former Monmouth Boys School pupil has amassed an amazing record of 16 fights with 14 victories all of which have come via knockout or stoppage winning the Welsh light Heavyweight and European titles along the way. He is a true all action fighter and has been described as the toughest fighter in Wales.
Fin is supported on the event by Abergavenny’s own Boxing Legend Kieran Gething who will be competing in his professional contest under 6 x 3 Min rounds against a young and up and coming opponent in Owen Thomas from Llandrindod Wells who has won 16 of his 21 contests. Whereas Kieran will be the clear favourite. Thomas is not to be underestimated having won his last four contests by stoppage.

On the undercard local fighters Fergus Collinson who is undefeated in 11 contests and Samed Saritag. Saritag from Abergavenny is hoping to get back to winning ways after 11 straight wins when he recently and narrowly lost in his Welsh Title challenge in Cardiff in the Amateur Finals.
The event will also feature Rhys Price from Usk, Jack Whittal-Williams from Abergavenny and Darryl Bayliss from Monmouth.
