STUDENTS from Haberdashers’ Monmouth School will be participating in a festive production of A Christmas Carol.

The event will take place at the Chapel (Almshouse Street, Monmouth) on Thursday November 20 at 7.30pm and Friday November 21 at 5pm and 7.30pm.

The play runs for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, and the audience can enjoy mice pies and mulled wine during the evening.

This non-profit event will raise money for Maggie’s, the cancer support charity, and the Monmouth Foodbank. Kate Callaghan, a former member of staff now working with the foodbank, will be helping coordinate donations.

Audience members are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items, which will not only support those in need but also make a special appearance in the production itself.

Charles Dickens originally wrote A Christmas Carol to inspire generosity and compassion, a message that still rings true today. As an independent school, they are proud to give something back to the local community through this modern and imaginative adaptation featuring a talented cast of students, with many taking on multiple roles.
