The majority of the week's catches were again taken by the boat anglers with very few fish caught by the bank anglers.

Fish were feeding just below the surface and the fish were coming to the top particularly in the late afternoons, and ignored any fly that was cast at them.

Anglers that did catch from the bank included Stuart Smith one fish-2lb 2oz, and visitors K.Padfield onefish-2lb 10oz, R.Adams two fish-3lb 14oz .

Fishing from the boat were Don Bailey one fish-2lb, R.Elms three fish-6lb 15oz, Peter Dent two fish-4lb 4oz, John Larke two fish-5lb 5oz one of which weighed 3lb, Ben Martin two fish-4lb 8oz. Ann Heming managed to catch two fish-4lb whilst husband Tony struggled to catch one fish-2lb.

Most boat anglers used sinking and floating lines with various patterns of lures, "boobies" and nymphs. Top flies included Montana's, cat's whisker and black buzzers. Hot spots remain around the tump and east bank. The season will end on Saturday 1st November.
