This year’s Llamau Easter egg appeal once again was well-supported by the schools in Monmouthshire.

Kath Beavis, local co-ordinator for the charity, asked for chocolate Easter eggs to support the homelessness charity and again was overwhelmed by the response from school pupils.

The charity sets out each year to make sure that on Easter Sunday, each homeless young person and vulnerable women that Llamau supports receives an egg.

Kath thanked all the children for the generous response to the appeal, “especially Redbrook - who collected 30 from the 30 pupils they have - with Overmonnow, 123 eggs, and Osbaston, 186, for their support. Also Bridges Charity shop and community centre for letting us use their place for collections from residents.

“The amount of eggs collected is 468, thank you one and all” she added.

Llamau is a leading Welsh charity that offers support to young homeless people. It gives support and advice as well as accommodation and also supports vunerable women.
