A CONCERT was held at the Grange School in Monmouth on Wednesday 22nd July, finishing off a three day music course for children.

The young musicians came from a number of primary schools in and around Monmouth, with more than 30 children, aged 7 to 11, involved.

The course was led by Joe, Rosie and Daniel Walton and Sarah Forbes, and the highly experienced music teachers coached the pupils through aspects including choral singing, rhythm, harmonies and melodic patterns.

The aim of the course was to inspire confidence and improve the childrens’ musical creativity.

Structured for all abilities, the course closed with a concert in front of family members which was extremely well received.

Joe walton said: ‘The children have worked fabulously well together.

“They have been really open minded to new ideas – we’re absolutely delighted.”
